Vision:

Losing a child in a public area is one of the worst nightmares a parent could ever have. Although many people are in the vicinity, they may not be aware of the situation that is unfolding in front of them. Snake Eyes is a device that will alert parents, as well as bystanders, when a child is lost or in trouble.

This product is a two-part device: a handheld transmitter for the parents and a wristband receiver for the child. The apparatus is triggered when the child wanders out of a specified range from their parents, resulting in a vibration on the parent's receiver. If the parent cannot visibily see their child, they can activate an alarm on the child's device.

The prototype consists of a receiver contained in a bracelet, worn by the child, and a transmitter, held by the parent. Ultimately, No-Dice Co. plans to integrate the device into a durable watch. To ensure that abductors do not simply remove the device, a watch strap will be equipped with a locking mechanism. Furthermore, the strap will be constructed out of a material comparable to aircraft cable, making it difficult to remove the device from the child.
